How much does popcorn ceiling removal cost?
Most rooms are quoted per square foot of ceiling including scraping, skim coat, primer and paint. We measure in person and give one fixed written price; asbestos testing is quoted separately when the home predates 1980.
Do I need to test for asbestos?
If the home was built before 1980 we recommend a lab test before removal. If it comes back positive, we coordinate licensed abatement first.
How long does it take?
A standard bedroom takes about a day; a great room or multiple rooms take two to three days including drying time between coats.
