The soft, European, aged-estate look for brick, stone and stucco — applied by a Romabio-certified crew with a fixed written price before anyone picks up a brush.

3-Year Written WarrantyFrom historic brick along the Village’s streets to the large custom homes in Holliday Farms and Royal Run, Zionsville is the most limewash-friendly town in the metro. The soft, aged European look suits the town’s character, and because limewash breathes, it is the right choice for older brick that has to keep releasing moisture.
Romabio limewash soaks into masonry and calcifies instead of forming a film, so it never peels or chips — it breathes, resists mildew, and weathers into a natural patina. Already-painted brick gets Masonry Flat, a breathable mineral paint with a 20-year manufacturer warranty.
Brick absorbs moisture. Ordinary paint seals it in — that is why painted brick peels and spalls. Mineral coatings are vapor-permeable, so moisture escapes and the finish stays put.
Limewash chemically bonds with the masonry itself. There is no plastic film to fail — it never chips, peels or flakes; it weathers gracefully into a patina.
Romabio products are formulated from natural ingredients with zero volatile organic compounds — safer for your family, pets and landscaping.
Lime’s naturally high pH fights mold, mildew and bacteria — a real advantage through humid Indiana summers.
Natural mineral pigments do not fade the way synthetic tints can, so the color ages evenly year after year.
We hand-distress the finish to your exact taste on application day — and it is removable by pressure washing within the first couple of days.
Zionsville homes range from historic brick along the Village’s streets to large custom builds in Holliday Farms — each needs a different prep and product plan, and we bring both.
We work throughout 46077, including communities like The Village, Holliday Farms, Royal Run, Austin Oaks, Stonegate and Cobblestone Lakes.
From softly distressed washes to full designer coverage — these are the finishes we create with the Romabio system. We bring sample boards to every estimate so you can pick your exact look.

Our Romabio-certified crew applies the system in the proper temperature window (50–88°F) so the lime calcifies correctly.
We hand-distress to the exact look you approved, then walk the job with you. Touch-ups are handled on the spot — we do not leave until you are happy.
“Had my entire 1,700 sq ft home painted — walls, ceilings, trim and doors. Alfredo took me through the process from start to finish. The crew showed up every day, worked hard and finished earlier than expected. My house looks like it did 24 years ago when it was brand new.”
“It’s been 11 months since Alfredo and his team painted the exterior of our home. It still looks great, which is a testament to the paint job. The team worked hard, were respectful of our home, and got it done in a reasonable time frame.”
“We asked for a short turnaround and Alfredo and his team got it done on time with exceptional results. A lot of prep was needed because the walls were in bad shape, and in the end it looked excellent. Great experience all around.”

Yes — it is one of the oldest masonry finishes in the world and it is fully breathable, so it is often the better choice for older brick. We assess mortar condition first and can leave more of the original brick showing for an authentic, aged look.

Classico Limewash never peels or chips — it slowly weathers into a natural patina over many years, and most homeowners love how it ages. Prefer it to stay exactly as applied? We can add Mineral Shield, or use Masonry Flat, which carries a 20-year manufacturer warranty.
No — authentic limewash needs bare, absorbent masonry to calcify. If your brick is already painted, we use Romabio Masonry Flat, a breathable mineral paint made for previously painted surfaces. You still get the flat mineral look, plus the 20-year warranty.
They are related but different. Whitewash is often just watered-down paint, and German schmear is a mortar technique that permanently changes the brick. Romabio Classico Limewash is a true slaked-lime mineral coating — reversible in its first days, breathable for life, and available in whites, grays and warm beiges.
